Middleton’s Mary Packard 2017/18 recipient opf the Leadership in Career Development Award.

Mary Packard is an academic counselor at Middleton High School where she has served the Middleton School District for 19 years, with 15 years at the high school level and at the college level, as well.

Mary strives to help students and parents envision future possibilities by offering offer support and resources to realize them. “To me, this means addressing the “whole person”– socially, emotionally, academically, and vocationally - which I believe to be inseparable aspects of one’s life experience that impact success and personal fulfillment”.

Mary started her career as a certified teacher of Family/Consumer Science in Washington state. Mary earned her Master of Education (M. Ed.) degree from Northwest Nazarene University and holds state credential as a Licensed Professional Counselor (L.P.C.). Mary’s professional interest and specialized training is in the area of career development and post- secondary planning and she constantly works toward improving practices in this area of career development as a member of Idaho Career Development Association.
