Board Meeting
PRESENT: President - Jennifer Ross, Boise State University
Treasurer - Vickie Coale, Boise State University
Secretary - Lindsi Bennett, Idaho State University
Membership Committee Chair - Christie Stoll, Career Information System (CIS)
Discussed details pertaining to the April 26 ICDA conference.
Current registrants: 28
Christie noted that she knows many people (especially state agency employees) are awaiting authorization to register.
Discussed how our individual follow-up phone calls/emails went. Talked about sending reminder emails on Monday, April 2 (also to announce who won the gift card drawing) and Monday, April 16. The ICDA website sends automatic reminders to registrants. Jennifer stated that she will ask Sue Holmes to post to the ICA listserv again.
Lindsi asked about the CEUs on behalf of a member who asked her. ICA is sponsoring the CEUs, so they are legitimate to NBCC. Jennifer had lunch with Heather Tustison (ICA President) yesterday. She said Heather will be on-site at the end of our conference to sign CEU certificates.

Lindsi asked if the grant winner, Shawna, will be attending. Jennifer noted that she is unable to attend, but has sent a brief presentation which we can show during our lunch meeting. Jennifer also stated that she had asked Kelly Curry about presenting but has not yet heard back. So Lindsi is planning on speaking.
Christie asked about tables and decorations.
Candies – mints, hard candies, WinCo bulk selection
Centerpieces – need to be short so as not to impede the view or discussion; little potted flowers from the grocery store. Vickie will buy right before the conference.
Lindsi asked about audio/visual equipment. Vickie stated that it is $60 for the microphone and audio system. Vickie said she will bring BSU Career Center’s projector and her own laptop for the visual presentations. Discussed having presentations preloaded and also having presenters bring back-up.
Christie asked about the lunch. Vickie said it is on-site and will be wheeled in to us at our tables. Refreshments will be available throughout the day. There will be a continental breakfast. Vickie noted that we should mention it in our final reminder email so people know there will be food to eat.
Christie stated that she will bring her laptop for on-site registration.

Christie shared a question someone had asked her about if our conference offered Ethics CEUs. Discussed whether that is something we want to do in the future. We can survey members to ask what they want/need.
Jennifer noted that ICDA membership is up: we currently have 46 members.
Christie commented on the ease of using the website and keeping track of people with it. Talked about how we prefer having our own website and processes to going through ICA.
